The CPC Community Starts with our volunteers

Career Professionals of Canada is a social enterprise with a strong and committed volunteer network.

Getting involved as a CPC volunteer is personally and professionally rewarding. You’ll build deep relationships with your colleagues, advance your own professional development, and contribute directly to the advancement of our services and programs.

Build Your Credibility as a Canadian Career Practitioner and a Leader in our Field

A volunteer position with CPC is an excellent opportunity to “give back” to your community while you are building your own credibility as a career professional and a leader in your field.

Your commitment as a volunteer with the organization requires only a little of your time each month — the number of hours are flexible and entirely dependent upon your availability.

Certification Team

Career Professionals of Canada is setting the Canadian standard for excellence in our profession.

The CPC Certification Program validates and recognizes the expertise of career practitioners in the following competency areas – career, work-life, interview, employment, and résumé strategy.

  • Certification Assessors: The CPC Certification Team is accountable for overseeing the CPC Certification Program. Certification Assessors evaluate the work product submitted by practitioners. They review, assess, and mark submissions and make their recommendations for conferring the Certified Career Strategist (CCS), Certified Work-Life Strategist (CWS), Certified Interview Strategist (CIS), Certified Employment Strategist (CES), and Certified Résumé Strategist (CRS) designations to successful practitioners.
  • Awards Judges: CPC is also committed to recognizing outstanding individuals in our profession. Active CPC members are eligible to strive for our prestigious Awards of Excellence. Nominations are evaluated by an independent Awards Judging Team which consists of certification team members.  Judges make their award selections independently and impartially on a tabulation form, in accordance with the nomination procedures. Once all forms are completed, judges meet to discuss and agree on the final nominees and recipients.

Our Executive Director, Skye Berry oversees this program. Certification Assessors and Awards Judges have strict criteria for selection.
